Dyslexia --
by definition means ...difficulties with reading words in isolation, accurately decoding unfamiliar words, oral reading is slow, inaccurate, or labored without prosody, and spelling. WOW! If you know me, you already know I struggle with all of these characteristics. That is because I am dyslexic. So, this year, I am excited to teach students who share the same difficulties that I do. So, I get it; I know how they feel. (My daughter, Madison, is also dyslexic.)
This will be my 17th year at GJH. My life revolves around faith, family, and friends. I love spending time with my family as we travel the U.S., attending Baylor sporting events, and hanging out at our ranch.
I have two children: Madison and Jace. My husband, Brent, owns a lawn and landscaping company and enjoys hunting, fishing, and traveling. Three and a half years ago, we welcomed our first grand dog into the family, Oakley, and this spring Jace added another grand dog, Ruger.
Please come ready for an inspiring year that will challenge every student to be the best student they can be!
