Integrated Physics & Chemistry (IPC)

Students and Parents if you would like to join the remind app for IPC, follow these instructions:

As soon as the district has all the kinks worked out of the Remind App I will post a link to join. I will also give the students a handout to take home when it is ready.

Below you will find the curriculum covered this year and some useful links.

****Very Important Note****

All 7th Grade Advanced students took the science STAAR test last year and did extremely well on it. This means that those students will not have to take it this year. It is a requirement from TEA that all students receive the 8th grade curriculum so if you did not take the 8th-grade Science STAAR last year then you must take regular 8th-grade Science this year instead of IPC.

Students! Welcome to Integrated Physics and Chemistry (IPC)! In order to be successful in class this year you will only have to do 4 things:

  1. Pay attention in class
  2. Do your assignments and turn them in on time
  3. Study
  4. Behave

All four are instrumental to your success and I expect nothing less than for you to succeed!

We will do projects throughout the year which will require extra materials not listed on the supply list but I can help provide some of them to ensure it does not become too costly. These projects will require some time at home spent on them and I encourage parents to help.

We will also be doing work using computers in my google classroom.

The code for IPC Google Classroom is: czodlwq

I look forward to seeing you all again and having a great year!

Parents - I encourage you to participate fully with your child. After the first week of school, I will post assignments with due dates in Google Classroom for you and your child to view. It is very important that students become very familiar with Google Classroom and how to do the assignments. Please click on this link

https://support.google.com/edu/classroom/answer/6020285?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en

for a short tutorial on how to do assignments in Google Classroom. We will go over this in class as well.

Note that assignments and due dates are subject to change depending on how fast or slow we are going in the actual classroom. I will update in Google Classroom if changes occur.

My conference period is 4th Period (10:25-11:10) this year so if you would like a conference, then please schedule an appointment. My email is [email protected]

I will also use the Remind App periodically.
