Hornet Science Club

Hornet Science Club is back on this year!!!

Science Club is all about experiencing science instead of sitting in a classroom and studying about it. How do we do that? Simply put, we go on field trips that are science-themed. Each year we go to places all over Texas to see firsthand the different aspects of science.

The Science Club also does its part to help out the community and protect the environment. We have are part of the Adopt-a-Highway program and along with NJHS go out 4 times a year to take care of a section of the highway on FM 107.

This is not a school-funded program and all proceeds come from students doing fundraising. We sell World's Finest Chocolate throughout the year and do some other student-led fundraisers. This is a big part of the program because without it, we would not be able to exist.

Anyone in the JH can be a part of the Science Club. There are only a couple of requirements.

1. Come to the meetings.

2. You have to help with the fund-raising.

3. You will have to do a Science Fair project at the end of the year.

4. You follow all school rules while participating.
